SAVE THE DATE: Huawei Joburg Day, In the Park is happening 2 April 2017
On Sunday 2 April 2017, Huawei Joburg Day In the Park will thrill music fans with a line up of many of South Africa’s hottest bands and performers.
The picnic style concert will host the likes of Goldfish, Mafikizolo, Gangs of Ballet, The Soil, Freshlyground, LCNVL, Black Motion and Urban Village. All will feature on one epic stage at the Emmarentia Botanical Gardens.
The full day festival will be supercharged by the Huawei Mate 9 which powers up for a day’s use, in only 20 minutes making it the perfect accessory to capture a day of memorable moments.
“Great music, family, friends and good times are at the heart of 947,” said 947 station manager, Ravi Naidoo. “Huawei Joburg Day In the Park is an opportunity for Joburg to experience all of these elements in one unforgettable day.”
This will be the second installment of Huawei Joburg Day, and ‘In the Park’ promises the same world class stage and performances, but with a slightly more laid back feel. Ideal for music fans of all ages, In the Park will allow for an awesome party at the stage, as well as chilled-out appreciation from the comfort of a picnic blanket.
To kick things off, Anele will host one of South Africa’s most famous acts of the last decade: Goldfish, at the Maslow Hotel on Thursday 1 December. In the New Year fans can look forward to more opportunities to connect with the bands that they love, who will feature on the line up, and to win the most sought after tickets in town.
“We saw at the first Huawei Joburg Day in September 2016 how much this city loves music and sharing special moments and we are excited to give them another opportunity to enjoy doing what they love,” said Huawei…
The festival will run from 10am to 6pm and guests are urged to make use of Uber, carpools, lifts, taxis and park n ride services, to ensure a seamless and safe journey to and from the venue.
