Queue and One Too Many NSA and St Barnabas

It starts with one until it becomes One Too Many. Experience the powerful and poignant production of One Too Many, a compelling exploration of gender-based violence and its far-reaching impact. This riveting drama brings to light the stories of survivors, their resilience, and their fight for justice and healing. Through raw, honest performances and a narrative that challenges societal norms, One Too Many? seeks to spark conversation and inspire change.

The cast comprises talented students from St. Barnabas, whose dedication and passion bring this important story to life. One Too Many? was one of the top 5 finalists in FEDA (Festival of Excellence in Dramatic Arts) - South Africa's most prestigious high school one-act play festival.

Join us in storytelling that not only illuminates the harsh realities of gender-based violence but also celebrates the strength and courage of those who rise above it. This is more than a show; it?s a call to action.

"QUEUE" bravely explores the ritualistic practice of initiation and traditional rites of passage to manhood. This impactful physical theatre was first staged during the NSA?s PHYSICA The Genesis? in April 2024 and went on to receive acclaim at FEDA, where it notched up ten nominations and received five awards, including best sound, most cutting edge, best choreography, and best triple threat.

With seamless elegance and heightened artistry, Bahle Hadebe, a matric drama student at the National School of the Arts, has woven his original composition, choreography, concept, set design, and direction to focus the spotlight on this highly relevant subject matter in a work whose resonance lingers long after you leave the theatre.
